The Sony A7R VI: official announcement date, price, and a crazy sensor!!!
Sony A7R VI: tons of info!!! 🎉
Like shameless scavengers, we’re grabbing this info from the famous website SonyAlphaRumors (which itself got it from Italian YouTuber Andrea Pizzini – the circle is complete, as they say):
It seems to be official: the Sony A7R VI and the 100–400mm f/4.5 GM will be announced on May 13 at 3 PM (same day as the Canon EOS R6 V)!
📷 Sony A7R VI – The monster!
- 67 MP fully stacked sensor (like the Sony A1 II – nothing less 👀)
- Speed and video capabilities on par with the A1 II
- All the new features introduced with the Sony A7 V (AI, stabilization, autofocus…)
- Price: ~ $5,000 / €5,000+ – yeah, it costs a fortune, but it’s $/€2,000 cheaper than the A1 II. Not bad for “the best camera in the world”!
🔭 100–400mm f/4.5 GM – The newcomer
- Not a successor to the current 100–400mm (no “GM II” in the name!)
- Internal zoom, constant aperture, ultra-lightweight, extreme optical quality
- Price similar to the A7R VI (~ $5,000 / €5,000)
Resolution AND speed in a single body, for less than an A1 II? If you were planning to buy the A1 II, it might be worth waiting!
